Tim van Stralen

Founder, Chairman of the Board, 1st Bro

As head of the clan and overseer of the van Stralen companies, Tim spends his time keeping his brothers – and the business - in line. A husband and father of 4, he is continually seeking new opportunities for Sunshine Grounds Care – and an excuse to take the family helicopter out for a spin.

With a head full of ideas and the drive to inspire, Peter stays ahead of new technologies to keep Sunshine on the leading edge. Preferring to stay grounded, he unwinds (and recharges) with family and fishing rod on the family island.

Crunching numbers since 1992

Financial planning and budgeting, as well as overseeing the delivery of exceptional customer service, fills up Derek's day - he takes a decidedly different type of spin to escape the grind - spinning tires or travelling the world.

COO, Director of Purchasing, 4th Bro

Big spender since 1993

Seth is the nuts and bolts of Sunshine Grounds Care. He plans, he purchases, and he keeps things running. Determining strategy is in his blood…and on the ice. An avid hockey fan and player, Seth wields a stick as well as he executes a plan

James van Stralen

Countering the Big spender since 1994

You will most often find James skilfully negotiating national and regional contracts – sometimes in the ‘boardroom’ of groomed greens and snowy slopes. Sunshine’s prodigious growth and national scope attests to his skill at forming strategic alliances.
